The World Firefighter Racquetball Association (WFRA), A non-profit (501-C-3) corporation, was created to increase awareness of racquetball worldwide to all firefighters, and EMS personnel through fundraisers, shootouts, State, Regional, National and World tournaments. The WFRA is committed to promoting health, wellness, camaraderie, sportsmanship, friendship, safety, and competitiveness through competition for all firefighters and EMS personnel worldwide through racquetball. The WFRA is also committed to helping firefighters and EMS charities, firefighter and EMS families in need, and also to assist aspiring firefighter and EMS personnel to help them obtain an educational goal in the career of firefighting and EMS. WFRA is committed to partnering with specific agencies to try to lower the risk of heart disease, which is the leading cause of firefighter and EMS personnel death in the world.
